PURCHASE A EUROPEAN DOBERMAN PUPPY FROM A REPUTABLE BREEDER

We carefully plan each litter and prioritize the health and well-being of both the mother and her puppies. As a result, we operate on a waiting list policy. By joining our waiting list, you will have the opportunity to reserve a puppy from one of our upcoming litters.

BEFORE YOU BUY A DOBERMAN PUPPY

The selection of a reputable doberman breeder is the MOST important step you can take to ensure a wonderful, healthy and loving pet. Buying a QUALITY doberman puppy from health-tested, titled parents and champion lines, will assure the puppy will be healthier than buying from a pet shop, back yard breeder or puppy mill. Now is not the time to look for a bargain!

When you purchase a dog from us, it’s not just a transaction. For us, it’s the start of a new relationship. We are here to help you with questions starting with ear cropping & posting, guide you with health, support you with testing, training, and whatever else you may need during your journey with your dog.

STEP 1: Fill Out Buyer Questionnaire

Fill out & submit buyer questionnaire. This allows us to better understand if we can provide you with that puppy that you are searching for.

STEP 2: Breeder & Buyer Phone Call

Buyer / Breeder phone call to discuss in further detail and answer any questions that we may have for each other.

STEP 3: Deposit & Contract

If approved, $1K deposit is required via zelle or bank transfer (NO CREDIT CARDS), purchase agreement signed between buyer and seller, copies are sent to both parties via email.

STEP 4: Placed On Wait List

Buyer is placed next in line for the litter(s). Picking order is defined by order that deposit has been received.

STEP 5: Puppy Confirmation

When the litter is born and we have confirmed the number of puppies, their colors, and sexes, we will contact all buyers in the order that we received their deposits. At this point, you will have the opportunity to confirm and reserve your puppy, or you can choose to pass and wait for a future litter.

STEP 6: Pre-Delivery Coordination

Our sweet girl Ruby is the best. She is very calm and so smart. She is great with the children and very lovable and enjoys to snuggle. We are considering getting another puppy from you Rick because we are so impressed. Thank you, Dr. Jessica

This new edition to the Capa family has been in the works for quite a few years. We have been following Lakewood Dobermann Kennel for a very long time and just kind of knew this is where we wanted a puppy from if we took the plunge. Roman is absolutely amazing and ridiculously handsome. Incredibly smart and learning so fast. A few people have asked me so I figured I'd shout out Rick and his amazing dobermans. Highly recommend. No hesitation.

Received our puppies a week ago. They are full of energy and getting bigger everyday. They look perfect and have already learned to sit and stay. The whole process was smooth, and we like to thank Rick everything he did to get the puppies to us! Thanks again Rick!

We were fortunate enough to be working with Rick at Lakewood Dobermann for several months prior to acquiring our fantastic new baby. Rick is extremely professional. Very happy to provide all of the genetic testing, OAF and bloodlines for all of the dogs and all of the litters so that we could make an educated choice about our new family member. We were kept informed as Of all of the puppies after whelping with respect to their health and development. Our little guy came home and immediately demonstrated that he had some crate training and exercise in being housebroken as well as being non reactive to other animals or loud noises such as people, other dogs and even fireworks. It is clear that the staff and people associated with Lakewood Dobermann’s put a lot of time and energy into properly conditioning and educating these puppies before placing them in their new homes. This can only be achieved with good breeding and. Tremendous amount of effort. We thought it was amazing for a 10 week old puppy. He is extremely intelligent and playful. He has tons of energy and he is training to follow all commands. The intelligence factors with this breed is off the charts and it requires a tremendous amount of time, energy, and love to incorporate these dogs into your family. It is well worth it for those who choose to make the commitment. His ears and tail were beautifully done and the detailed instructions and videos provided by Rick on posting/stenting the ears are very helpful, even for someone with experience. Overall, this has been a fantastic experience and this is my fifth Doberman pinscher. I would highly recommend Rick Pezzino and the Lakewood Dobermann family for anyone Who is considering bringing home a fantastic prize.

We truly could not speak more highly of Rick. We placed our deposit at the end of 2024 but were not quite ready to bring home a puppy at that time but we simply knew we wanted one of his. Rick was completely understanding and periodically checked in to see how we were doing and whether the timing was right. When we were finally ready, the entire process was incredibly easy and enjoyable. Rick was always responsive, patient, and happy to answer every question we had. We have now had our puppy home for 48 hours and are already completely in love. Even our veterinarian was amazed by how thoroughly Rick documented our puppy’s lineage and health records. They could not believe how organized and comprehensive everything was. Rick, we cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to staying in touch and keeping you updated as our puppy grows!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sometimes a dog comes into your life… and somehow becomes a piece of your heart.... That’s Milo. ❤️ Our beautiful Doberman started his life at Lakewood Kennels before making the journey to Canada and into our family.... I don’t think Lakewood could ever truly understand what they gave us when they gave us Milo..... To them, he may have been one of the beautiful puppies they raised and cared for.... To us, he is family.... He waits for us...He watches over us. He makes us laugh. He knows when something isn’t right. He gives us that kind of unconditional love that only a dog can give.... And somehow, without ever saying a word, he became one of the most important parts of our home.... I absolutely love him ! One day, Milo’s face will be a little greyer, his steps will be a little slower, and I know I’ll wish I could have these years all over again.... So thank you, Lakewood Kennels...And most of all, thank you for sending this beautiful boy all the way to Canada and into our lives.... You didn’t just give us a Doberman. You gave us Milo. ❤️🐾🇨🇦 And there will only ever be one Milo...

BENEFITS OF OUR PROGRAM

Many breeders outside of the US do not have the same level of regulations and standards as American breeders, which could result in a greater risk of purchasing a sick dog with no health guarantee. Additionally, buying from overseas may come with additional costs such as importing and shipping fees, which can add up quickly. It is also important to be cautious of potential scams and fraud when dealing with overseas transactions, especially when it comes to sending money upfront. By purchasing from a reputable family team, you can have peace of mind knowing that our dogs are carefully bred and raised with the utmost care and attention to health and temperament. We also offer ongoing support and guidance throughout the dog’s lifetime to ensure a positive experience for both the dog and its new family.

Our buyer questionnaire is designed to help us select a puppy that can best meet your needs and living situation and ensure success for the dog and the new owner. There are no wrong answers, please answer honestly and add anything that will help us determine what type of personality and characteristics you are searching for.
